Aljazira Bank has selected Thunes, a global payment infrastructure provider, to power its international remittance services, the two companies announced from Riyadh. The strategic partnership is designed to give Aljazira Bank customers faster, more transparent cross-border money transfers through Thunes' established global network.
The agreement positions Aljazira Bank to expand its international payment reach at a time when Saudi Arabia remains one of the world's largest remittance-sending countries, driven by a substantial expatriate workforce. By leveraging Thunes' infrastructure, the bank aims to reduce friction and improve visibility for customers sending money abroad.
