PLACE Acquires Ardley to Expand Mortgage Tech Platform
PLACE is acquiring Ardley to integrate AI-powered loan recapture tools into its growing mortgage operating system for lenders.
PLACE, a real estate and financial services technology company valued at unicorn status, announced an agreement to acquire Ardley, a firm specializing in AI-powered automated recapture and retention technology, the company said Thursday from its Bellingham, Washington headquarters.
The acquisition is designed to bolster PLACE's platform for lenders and financial institutions, adding automated tools that help mortgage servicers retain existing borrowers and recapture loans that might otherwise refinance away to competitors. Retention and recapture have become increasingly critical capabilities as interest rate volatility drives borrower behavior.

Ardley's artificial intelligence technology automates the process of identifying when a borrower may be ready to refinance or take out a new loan, then prompts lenders to act before a competitor does. Integrating that capability into PLACE's broader platform represents a step toward what the company describes as a comprehensive mortgage operating system.
PLACE has positioned itself at the intersection of real estate brokerage and financial services technology, building tools that connect home transactions with mortgage origination and servicing. The Ardley deal signals the company's intent to deepen its footprint on the lending side of that equation, offering institutions a more complete technology stack under one roof.
