Kraken Parent Payward Links With Singapore Gulf Bank for Round-the-Clock Settlement
Payward integrates SGB Net to offer institutional clients in Asia and the Gulf 24/7 real-time digital asset settlement.
Payward, the parent company of crypto exchange Kraken, has forged a partnership with Singapore Gulf Bank to bring around-the-clock settlement capabilities to institutional digital asset markets across Asia and the Gulf region, the companies announced Oct. 4, 2026.
The integration centers on SGB Net, Singapore Gulf Bank's real-time clearing network, which now allows institutional clients to settle transactions at any hour without the delays typically associated with traditional banking infrastructure. The move addresses a longstanding friction point for institutional traders, who have historically been constrained by banking hours even as crypto markets operate continuously.

As part of the agreement, Singapore Gulf Bank will also onboard Kraken Prime — Kraken's institutional-grade trading arm — as an additional source of digital asset liquidity, potentially deepening order-book depth and pricing efficiency for large-scale participants in those markets.
The partnership reflects a broader industry push to close the operational gap between traditional financial settlement rails and the always-on nature of digital asset trading. By anchoring 24/7 clearing to a licensed banking entity, both firms are positioning the arrangement as a regulated, infrastructure-grade solution rather than a purely crypto-native workaround.
